Les Fleurs de Tuline

The craze started by Gossip Girl’s Upper East Side (UES) Queen Bee Blair Waldorf took over runways and now Egypt.

Blair Waldorf Headband Craze

Les Fleurs de Tuline is “a new concept where each seed blossoms into a flower; where your imagination can become a reality; where art, design and fashion can meet.”  Tuline Chourbagui, the designer behind the line, jumped on the train by launching her first collection of “head couture”.  The designs are based out of Cairo with the Mawaheb atelier, Beirut based charity organization, producing the dazzling headbands.

Take a cue from gossip girl? What i mean by that is to be inspired by either the whole outfit, or a part of it and to try to incorporate it into your OWN style. It really could be innovative and fun to see how one outfit can inspire each person differently. If you do try it out…post a comment and attach a pic!

Throughout the episode “Seder Anything”, episode 21, Blair Waldorf’s mission was to impress the Archibald clan and join the prestigious socialite Whitney junior committee.  During Trip Archibald’s rehearsal dinner, Blair wore a lovely D&G Dolce & Gabbana dress.  She happened to accessorize it with her staple romantic headband.  The dress’s colors and floral print defines the entrance to the spring season.  Take a cue from Gossip Girl, so when going to a boyfriend’s family event wear something appropriate, feminine, yet still somehow sexy!

The “Age of Dissonance” episode was all about the “Age of Innocence” play.  What was particularly interesting is that the characters barely changed outfits the whole episode.  My ultimate favorite was Blair Waldorf’s Fall 2008 Marchesa dress.  The black lace with the voluminous skirt looks amazing.  Black lace will never go out of style and will always be the definition of sexy.  The broach added a special unique touch to the dress.

Who doesn’t love gossip girl? Its genius despite what the haters say. The script, the characters (at least most of them), and most importantly the fashion! So i have decided to, for my own pleasure and maybe yours as well, pick a favorite outfit each episode and try to take a cue. Take a cue from gossip girl?
